It was the youthful dream of a Styrian mountain farmer’s son — 'Hans Brenner', a skilled carpenter who realised the dream of skiing and being an hotelier in the Arlberg region. At age 19 he moved from his Styrian homeland in order to save some money, first of all in Saalbach Hinterglemm and then 12 years in Zürs as one of the renowned certified ski instructors. After a few years he became acquainted with his future wife “Angelika”, who has been energetically at his side in the realisation of common dreams since this time. As a receptionist at the 5-star Hotel Zürserhof she contributed the necessary know-how in order to help lay the cornerstone for the present-day  Alpine Balance Hotel in Warth am Arlberg in 1979. Many small construction stages followed, and there was no rest in order to repeatedly delight all guests and friends of the house.
It was a great stroke of fortune that the small town of Warth – which at that time was still miles away from the metropolises Lech, Zürs, St. Christoph and St. Anton war – had developed so well. Today Warth is regarded as an absolute insider’s tip for people who enjoy the balance between rest and sport as well as recreation while on holiday. We thank all those people who believed in this vision and also all those who support future projects.
